An old but lively snapshot,
Brought about a thought.
That I had lost something,
But I couldn't guess what.

When those boys in the class,
Were punished for long nails.
When the girls hopped about,
With their pretty ponytails.

When the day just passed,
In those never ending talks.
As we sketched about our dreams,
With rainbow-coloured chalk.

And those Saturdays then,
Were no less than a boon.
With Sunday the next day,
We used to sleep until noon.

A hug from our friends,
Was more than enough for us.
With the greed of an extra sweet,
As we yelled the B'day chorus.

From teasing our friends,
By making at them faces.
Such silly we were,
As we tripped on shoelaces.

Those memories during the break,
Were no less than a rhyme.
Waiting to be recalled,
They faded away with time.

Perhaps it was the cute smile,
That gleamed throughout the day.
Or maybe it's the School Fun,
I miss so much till date...
