Our Words trickled down like Rain,
Flooded the world in wisdom and glory
Swooned the torch from one arm to another
lead the stallion across the skies
And shed light past the Abysmal Tunnels.

But what if one day it broke it’s sprint
Tricked by dark became the Darkness
Swept past away to the Eternal Grave,
Stone cold, looming beneath the soil as dust.

Will that day begin it’s dance before our eyes tomorrow
Or will we be sleeping in the clouds or rotting with worms
Will it matter? The roaring glory of humankind,
Those who leapt across the stars, swam across the seas,
Walked beyond the horizon and died like anything else.

Does it care? The World or Is it Just Us begging meaning?
When we climb down the ladder of existence
The Way we left our words, the way we reached the stars
The way we drank, sang and lived. Does it care?
